THE COMPARISON

Value + time criticality + risk reduction / opportunity

Relative job size

Higher WSJF suggests considering a candidate sooner. Compare scores within the same set of work, using a consistent scale.

## Your comparison

Choose all four scores to rank a candidate. A blank score stays unknown; 0 is a valid value score.

A CONSISTENT SCALE. A CONSIDERED ORDER.

## Make the assumptions visible.

Compare a few candidates together. Pick a small reference candidate, then score the others relative to it. Use the same interpretation of each dimension across the whole list. The Fibonacci-style scale helps distinguish meaningful differences without pretending to precise measurement.

The first three dimensions form a relative cost of delay. Job size must be positive. These scores are comparisons, not money or estimates of elapsed time. Revisit them when your evidence or constraints change.
