Your team, on a better day

More work starts.
Less work finishes.

A new request arrives. Then another. The work already in motion keeps waiting. Make the active commitment visible and decide what can wait, so every interruption comes with a clear choice.

What you’re trying to do

Keep a manageable commitment and make new work an explicit trade-off.

  1. 01Visible queue
  2. 02Bounded commitment
  3. 03Deliberate trade-off

Explain what the team will finish next and what changes when an urgent request arrives.

How Tellenze helps

Here’s how
it works.

01

Look at the work still waiting.

Inspect assigned work, blockers and due-date risks. Use accessible delivery views and insights to find queues worth discussing, then open the work behind the counts.

Explore delivery insights
02

Choose what the project will finish next.

Agree on a small project Focus commitment and activate it when execution begins. Keep later requests in Backlog or a planned Focus until the team decides to take them on.

Plan a bounded Focus
03

Make each interruption a decision.

Record what continues, what waits and who addresses a blocker when urgent work arrives. Disable a Focus for a temporary pause, and review unfinished work before closing the commitment with a snapshot.

Manage the active commitment

An illustrative workflow

Keep a reporting change moving when requests arrive.

A team is finishing a reporting change when three new requests arrive. One may be an incident; the others can be considered for later work.

  1. Record the new requests and inspect the current commitment and blockers.

  2. Decide whether the incident needs to displace planned work, leaving later requests in Backlog.

  3. Record what pauses and why, follow the urgent work, and review unfinished items before closing the Focus.

The team can see its active commitment and the decisions behind work that waits.

Start small

Try it with
one piece of work.

Useful when a team knows what matters but new requests and too much open work keep interrupting delivery.

Sound familiar?
  • New requests become active work before anyone reviews what is already open.
  • Review queues and blockers grow while more work keeps starting.
  • An urgent interruption displaces planned work, but the decision is never recorded.

Your first step

Review one active Focus. Name what you will finish before taking on more.

One workflow is enough to start. Join the waitlist and explore it with Tellenze when early access opens.

The details

Before you dive in.

Does Focus enforce a limit on active work?

No. A project can have several active Focus groups. Focus makes commitments visible; the team decides how much to take on and what to postpone. Delivery counts and complexity describe the work, not individual productivity.

What happens to unfinished work when a Focus closes?

Closure records the current membership and releases the items without completing them or changing their stages. Unfinished work returns to Unfocused in Backlog. Use Disable when you want a temporary pause, because a closed Focus cannot be reopened.
